The CapStone Infoways motto is "Our Mission, Quality Delivery OnTime...EveryTime...", which is quite ironic really. I'm sure you'll see the funny side by the end of this review.
I'd like you to meet Rajesh Wadhwa - CEO and founder of Capstone Infoways - the person behind this scam - here's a picure of him, sitting at his desk doing something other than my project

The job was for a online radio station using the freelance site getafreelancer.com. (http://www.getafreelancer.com/projects/157798.html). The user came with near perfect ratings and feedback - nearly every buyer rating them with a 10 or a 9. Rajesh spoke good English and was curtious, articulate and educated so I though they would be a perfect choice. Have a look at their website www.capstoneinfoways.com - looks very trustworthy - direct number frum anywhere in the world, thousands of completed projects etc etc.... Athough they asked for 50% upfront I thought this was fine as they had perfect ratings, i had seen this with many providers and I thought they would be true to their word.
After a couple of weeks they provided me with a pretty bad homepage design and was obvious they were lacking here so I told them to concentrate on the tech side while I paid someone else to design the site look and feel. Not a problem at all, I just wanted it looking right.
The following four months we have been going backwards and forwards with Capstone Infoways delaying everytime I asked for an update. They also get very defensive and agressive the moment i challenge their work even though they have still showed us nothing. To this date (1st December 2007) they have shown me no work, although they claim they have the finished site ready (which they have been claiming for 3 months)
Finally I asked for a definitive launch date for the site - which we set at 6 weeks (to November 15th) - (Please note: The project was posted in JUNE 2007 - with Capstone Infoways bidding THIRTY DAYS for completion.)
I arranged a lot of press, promotion and a lavish party for this launch night, and with a couple of weeks to go Rajesh Wadhwa went very quiet and was replying to emails once every three or four days. The night came and everybody (including the partners and local press) turned up to see the launch of the site. Nothing to show, not even a test page. The project in tatters - and the partners laughing stock - we have gone to the owners of getafreelancer.com who are helping us secure a refund or ban this user.
Here are a few of the excuses we have received from this company as to why the work hasnt been completed.
1. You didnt give us a valid server
(Apparently our host wasnt good enough for them even though we never even had anything to upload, and they themselves didnt upload anything - we have logs that prove they are lying. We never asked for it on our host - we ask to DISPLAY ONE WORKING PAGE from the site on ANY SERVER in the world, THEIRS, OURS, WHATEVER. No FTP, no login, nothing - JUST SHOW US A WORKING PAGE - 6 MONTHS ON - NOTHING)
2. You vanished abroad....
(I was on a business trip when I awarded the project - apparently this slowed them down even though I had access to email, messenger and my phone 24 hours a day - everyday.)
3. You wasted our design efforts
(Their design efforts were substandard. I didn't waste them, i just paid someone else to do the graphical side of the project as they couldn't. This is all irrelevant as I paid them to do the work anyway. The fact that I didn't use their design only meant I didn't like it - they were still paid - meaning they were paid for nothing, not sure how that slows anything down.)
These are the ridiculous stalling tactics we have seen from Capstone Infoways and at one point he even blamed it on "racism"! I stress again we have received no work. They finally asked for a final setllement to process a refund with a ban on getafreelancer looming. which we have sent (even with a reduction on the $625 to try and push it along - 3 weeks on and still nothing.)
To this date these "professionals" at Capstone Infoways Private Ltd India and in particular Rajesh Wadhwa have lied to us and deceived us at every turn. We have sent over FIFTY emails asking for them to show us some evidence of work, and all they come up with is the excuses above rather than actually doing something.
We advise anyone wishing to use this company or this man for any work at all to steer very clear.
The problem is not the company failing us, its the company not admitting that they have failed us, and running off with our money. This post would not be necessary if they were honest and showed integrity but as it stands they have declined to reply to any of our recent messages.
If indeed we receive a refund and apology from this company, we will of course let you all know as this would be the only way Rajesh and Capstone could come out of this with a shred of respectability and professionalism.
